The Chainsaw Proctologists snapped a 5 game losing streak and edged the
Tampico Stogies at the ballpark by the score of 4 to 3.
Chainsaw scored all of the necessary runs in the 3rd inning as they scored 4
runs on 5 base hits. That was all the offense they were to need. Tampico
threatened in the 9th but Chainsaw was able to put down the rally.
The win was credited to Dallas Braden(6-7) who went 6 innings allowing no
runs. Latroy Hawkins recorded his 5th save. Jeff Niemann(3-15) was the
loser. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 4 runs in 2 innings.
Chainsaw now has a record of 54-58. Tampico has a record of 49-63, worst in
the division after the loss.
